DESCRIPTION
Welcome to the Vectorworks Figure challenge! In this challenge you will be testing your understanding on editing, duplicating and copying objects.
OBJECTIVE
With this challenge you will be testing your understanding on using the different methods for editing,copying and duplicating, after you have completed this challenge you will be able to apply your knowledge to speed up your drawing workflow.
SKILLS NEEDED
TO START
Within Vectorworks open a new template file by going to File > New > Use Document Template > Use the Fundamentals Metric or Imperial Template. (Remember to save your file!)

BRIEF
Your challenge is to create a Vectorworks figure using 2D geometry, concentrating on using editing, coping and duplicating key commands. Feel free to customize your figure and go wild with your design. Making sure you use those edit, duplicate and copy to make your 2D workflow efficient.
Good luck!
KEY STEPS
1. Start by creating the head of the figure with 2D shapes.
2. Next start to create the body for the figure using the polyline tool to get the shape you need.
3. Create the arm shape.
4. Duplicate for the second arm.
5. Create the legs for the figure.
5. Lastly create the Vectorworks V for his body (Use add surface to get the shape easily).
6. Have some fun and add some colour!
ⓘ Tip: Make sure to look at how you can use duplication to your advantage! The Mirror Tool is a game changer in this challenge! -
