This hands-on lab has you build a line study from scratch in Vectorworks: set up an 8.5 x 11 page at 1/8" scale, verify the boundary with the Tape Measure tool, and draw a border with the Rectangle and Offset tools. You'll then draw a precise 40' line, use Duplicate Array to stack six copies, and give each a different line weight and line type — from dashes and dash-dot styles to shape-based types like break, cloud, or fence. Finally, you'll edit a line type's geometry in the Resource Manager to create your own custom type, apply it, and export the sheet as an image.
