HARDWARE
The Hardware pane contains parameters for the door's hardware. We will look at some of this pane's key features, but for a full breakdown of all its fields, please take a look at the Help page.
Key Features
Include hardware: Once checked, you can enter offset values for the hardware's strike edge and bottom edge. These edge offsets are measured from the center of the hardware symbol.
View Hardware: This button opens the View Door Hardware Set dialog, allowing you to view (but not edit) the data associated with the selected hardware set.
Manage Hardware: This button opens the Door Hardware Library dialog, allowing you to add new hardware sets or edit the values for existing ones.
ⓘ You can add a hardware set and set the Symbol to <None> to obtain the data without the geometry — helpful for reducing visual clutter when necessary.
ⓘ For resource managers: The hardware library can be found in Libraries > Defaults > Door - Hardware. If you wish to customize or add new hardware symbols, we recommend first copying this folder to your workgroup or user folder.
