When the specification of your plants has been confirmed, you can edit the plant styles in your project and set up the root ball and excavation pit settings based on the sizes that will be installed onsite. These can be shown in both 2D and 3D, having root ball and excavation pit data helps aid designing and planning around your plants and to use in a BIM workflow for clash detection.

The fence tool enables you to incorporate detailed fence objects into your design. When using the fence tool, you will have the ability to draw fences using fence styles from the Vectorworks libraries or you can create your own fence styles and save them to your library of choice for future use. In this video we look at the drawing modes of the tool along with using the reshape tool to make any amendments to the fence after it is drawn.

By passing the Vectorworks Core Certification exam and receiving this certification you will demonstrate to employers and clients that you are
competent in core Vectorworks tools, commands, and workflows.
We highly recommend going through all of the courses in this learning path before taking the exam. However, we know there are many experienced Vectorworks users out there. If you feel you
have already mastered the subjects covered in this learning path, you can skip directly to the exam.
Your certification is valid for 3 years after successfully passing the exam. Once you pass the exam, you will be able to download and display your personal Vectorworks Core Associate certificate and seal. You will be notified 6 months before your certification
expires and with updates for continuing your education.
