This Lakehouse Landscape project provides a BIM workflow demonstration, showing the process of modelling residential landscape using Vectorworks Landmark. The focus rests firmly on the BIM process and explores the progress of the model through digital work stages and Level of Information Need, all the while referencing back to the UK BIM Framework and ISO19650 relevant standards.
Parametric tools, intelligent objects, data handling and creating associated views from the BIM model are demonstrated as best practice use, to streamline and optimise the design and modelling process while ensuring the maximum quality and consistency of delivery information.)
As a valued member of the Vectorworks community, we would like to welcome you to this exploration file.
This project documents several common outputs for retail interior design workflows. This project imagines the redesign of an existing store located on a typical UK high street. The file is structured with Design Layers which are associated with building Story levels, as well as Classes to control the graphics outputs and visibilities of objects. Saved Views and Sheets showcase the processes used to create a data driven model, using features such as, record formats, IFC data, data visualizations, and reports.
We suggest running through the Saved Views and Sheet Layers (in the Navigation Palette). You might then explore further via the individual Design Layers. Feel free to adapt any of the resources you find in the Resource Manager.
This file introduces the power of Showcase to achieve real-time previsualization directly inside Vectorworks Spotlight, allowing you to test run the show, experiment, and edit to your satisfaction.
This sample file is for a corporate event proposed to take place at a convention center. The file includes examples of lighting, rigging, scenic detailing, and staging. There are also several renderings of the project.
The Grotto is a penthouse/rooftop private club project.
Designed on a historic building in Chicago. It incorporates biophilia principles.
Chicago has 509 vegetated roofs with 5,564,000 square feet green roof coverage. Initiatives began in 2001 with their city hall green roof to reduce heat island effect and storm water management.
Dover Dam is a residential project located on an existing farm. The project is a 3D BIM model that includes stories, a site with modifiers, hardscapes, marionette objects, interior furnishings, and light fixtures in addition to traditional building objects organized by styles. The documentation makes use of viewport styles, smart markers, data tags, dimensions, callouts, 2D annotation tools, grid lines, elevation benchmarks, graphic legends, worksheets, title blocks, class overrides, and data visualizations specifically to modify and enhance drawings.
The CUBE provides a hybrid and “BIM for landscape” workflow demonstration, showing the process of modelling a landscape in an urban context, using Vectorworks Landmark. Parametric tools, intelligent objects, data handling, and creating associated
views from the integrated plan and model are demonstrated as best practice use, to streamline and optimize the site design and modelling process.
The Urban Park demo file can be used to explore various tools and features found in Vectorworks Landmark such as hardscapes, plants, graphic legends, viewport styles, title blocks, worksheets, and more! Make use of the saved views and sheet layers to explore this file.
The Riverwood Townhomes project file demonstrates Vectorworks Landmark features including plants, landscape areas, site model and massing models. The file also includes hardscape, fence, railing, stair, wall, graphic legends, data tags and worksheets.
The Office Park demo file can be used to explore various tools and features found in Vectorworks Landmark such as plants, hardscapes, landscape areas, graphic legends, viewport styles, and more! It also showcases the ability to import and export Revit files. For instance, the building is a Revit model that has been imported. Make use of the saved views and sheet layers to explore this file.
This sample project shows how Vectorworks can be used to document the scenic and lighting aspects of a theatre tour, in this case the combined production of Macbeth and A Midsummers Night Dream.
The scenic and lighting design is shared for both shows.
The saved views are used to show off specific elements of the design and the sheet layers provide an example of how the paperwork could be prepared to support touring theatrical productions.
The purpose of this file is to demonstrate a combination of scenic, lighting, event, and production management workflows inside Vectorworks Spotlight. The name of the awards show is the Apex Awards. The show celebrates the highest achievements in innovation, creativity, and success.
