Now more than ever, 3D modeling is integral to the workflow of all landscape professionals. In this webinar we’ll look at a workflow specifically for
landscape architects and garden designers — how to cooperate with contractors
and how to communicate your ideas to your clients in the most effective way.

Jazz Hutsby, lighting designer and technician, has a wealth of experience working on theatre, live music, and corporate events. His newest passion, though? Researching the use of 3D models, assets, and digital techniques within the arts.
In this webinar, Hutsby will share how Vectorworks software offered solutions for his work on the Creative Informatics Challenge Project for the Edinburgh International Festival. LiDAR scanning, modeling, and MVR will all be discussed as well.

Brooklyn-based design firm Claudia
Giselle Design LLC., prides itself in creating luxurious interior designs that
prioritize health and wellbeing. Before switching to
Vectorworks, the firm relied on multiple different drafting software. Now they’re
creating 2D and 3D models as well as high-quality renderings in one designer
friendly software.
Join Catelyn Seifert, interior designer at Claudia Giselle Design LLC., for a webinar on how her firm has adopted Vectorworks — from conceptual designs all the way through final presentations.

Alchemy Architects' Squam Lake house is a practical case study in selecting and using digital modeling tools to design complex geometries, communicating intent, and achieving their practical execution.
The house is metaphorically a box of trees.
With an interior entirely of oak, it embraces the spirit of the densely-wooded site. The metaphoric trees bring in light and ventilation, while defining spaces, circulation, storage, and a separate boathouse. The house was digitally modeled using
BIM software, allowing the house’s envelope and tree forms to be CNC-fabricated. During this course, the BIM and scripted-algorithm process will be discussed, as well as the transfer and communication of this information to fabricators.

An interdisciplinary concept founded on landscape architecture, urban design, and ecological sciences, Biourbanism is a method that assists mayors, city leaders, and city planners to create healthier, more resilient cities. Biourbanism is centred around
five urban and five bio systems that analyse city health: economy, energy, mobility, structure, technology, water, food, waste, landscape, and humanity.
Put simply, the research-led philosophy asserts that cities must be considered a form
of nature in response to global climate challenges.
Join Adrian McGregor, chief design officer of McGregor Coxall, professor, and author, for a discussion on Biourbanism and realistic roadmaps for cities and communities to achieving resilience.

Social media marketing is taking over as one of the key drivers in building relationships, driving traffic, increasing brand awareness, and giving an inside look at what your business is all about.
The entertainment industry is no exception for potential clients using social media for discovery. In this webinar, Joselyn Wojtalewicz, Vectorworks’ senior content marketing manager, will guide you through best practices on using different social media platforms, examples of successful design firms using social media marketing, and how you can grow your audience.
Learning Objectives
As a landscape architect or designer, you can find efficiencies in making use of “background” files from civil and survey engineers. You can apply their proposed work without recreating the base plan. And, with advancements in BIM software, working in
different applications is easier than ever before with better file management and staying consistent with origin, georeferencing, and positioning.
Join Tony Kostreski, PLA and senior landscape product specialist, to learn the benefits of importing
or referencing files and how imported geometry and data can be transformed into smart hybrid objects. All of the methods discussed can provide essential context in your BIM for landscape workflows.

Are you looking for a way to streamline how you and your collaborators create lighting plans? In this course, Michael Harpur, senior lighting technician in the Olivier Theatre at the National Theatre in London, will share his tips and tricks for
getting the most out of your Vectorworks Spotlight files and symbols library.
Learning Objectives
Is your workflow feeling disconnected? We’ll show you how to connect your workflow and get more out of it, all while doing less! Join industry and Vectorworks product specialists, Kesoon Chance, Iskra Nikolova, and Luis M. Ruiz to discuss the different ways in which you can get the most out of Vectorworks Cloud Services. You’ll learn how you can process your drawings, stay connected, collaborate with your team, and show clients interactive presentations all while never stepping away from your project.

Collaborating using a Building Information Model (BIM) can be done in a variety of ways, and there isn’t just one tool or one method available. These varied collaboration workflows depend on the needs of your project and the skill levels of your team
members involved.
One key factor of BIM collaboration is the ability for each team member to use the software of choice that fits their tasks and can offer collaboration opportunities with others. To serve this, flexible design tools and open
standards can provide ways to work with others while removing the need to use (or learn) unfamiliar software with limited, rigid workflow options.
This webinar will demystify the options for BIM collaboration so you can make an informed decision
about the best method for your needs on any given project.

Are you new to 3D modeling in Vectorworks or just looking to keep your skills sharp?
Either way, this is the presentation for you! Join our session to learn how to create 3D models that will perfectly complement your presentation. You’ll learn tons of tips for 3D modeling in Vectorworks, like how textures can reduce the complexity of models, details on conceptual and free-form designs, and rendering tricks to help you present your models.
Learning Objectives
BIM has primarily been considered for large project documentation efficiency, while smaller projects and their design processes are often neglected. This session’s goal is to show architects and allied design professionals how the inherently data-rich nature of BIM can serve smaller and design-oriented projects. BIM can refine your building design process and help you use materials more sustainably.
Through a series of technical vignettes, participants will see BIM in a new light: far more than an improved documentation and sharing environment reserved for large projects, BIM can improve both the efficiency of the design process and the efficiency of the design itself.
