Vectorworks Coffee Breaks are casual online learning sessions, that give you the opportunity to learn about different Vectorworks topics. You will interact with the trainers and ask questions throughout. We have chosen to run these sessions online to broaden their reach and enable you to add to your skills without leaving your desk. Live sessions are available to all our customers.
Join Katarina Ollikainen ( Vectorworks Landmark Planner) in discussing the new, automated Fence Tool. Optimized for simplified and detailed representations, the fence tool supports integrated posts, gates and terrain-conforming options like racked or panel/stepped. The Fence tool will save you significant time while designing in 2D and 3D, and also allow for accurate material reporting, reducing the chance for errors in material specifications.

Join Keith Ragsdale ( Vectorworks Trainer) as he covers all the Railing Improvements that bring you the flexibility and accuracy you need to create more custom configurations. This workflow includes styled objects and more creation options that interact with other modeled objects like slabs, stairs, and site models. The Railing tool will also support guardrails, handrails, and configurations designed to help you meet building code and accessibility standards.

Join Stephan Monninghoof ( Vectorworks Product Planner) as he covers all the updates in the user interface that will make working in Vectorworks more efficient and easier to customize. The reorganized View and Mode bars bring a wide range of tools to the forefront, so you can decide how to organize and have everything you need right where you need it. And for our night owls, Dark Mode is now available on both Windows and Mac.
Ever wondered how tools such as the Data tag are set up to display information about a specific object? Maybe you have used these resources from the Vectorworks Libraries and would like to adjust the data that is being displayed to meet your requirements.
If this is the case, then this is the Coffee Break for you as we look at Dynamic Text and the different data sources you can set to pull information out of your design.
Learning Objectives
Join us as we take a closer look at Renderworks Styles.Rather than rendering modes, the use of Renderworks styles collects the selected rendering mode and its options such as the lighting options, Renderworks camera effects, and the Renderworks background into a single resource that can be quickly used when
needed. The selection of render mode or Renderworks style can produce vastly different effects, and, in complex drawings, can require various amounts of time and computer resources. It's important to select the appropriate rendering mode or style for your current
activity and project phase.

Time to run away and join the circus! While the wall tool works great on vertical walls, and the roof tool works for flat roof faces, what happens when you need to make a circus tent with sloping walls, a curved roof and flags fluttering on the peak? In this Coffee Break we’ll explore some free-form modeling tools to help you create draped objects, like window curtains, fabric sails, and waving flags.
